My New Best Friends
It has been a month today since I started blogging. It has only about a week or 2 longer that for quilting.
It's funny that my new best friends are my cutting blade (this is my third, the first too small, the second too weak it popped closed when I pushed too hard, and now this one is just right). My ruler and cutting pad. My trusty Iron (and on second ironing board). You can't forget the sewing machine.

You got so much done! Kudos! I too went through a couple of rotary blades until I found one that "fit" me just right. I love the one I have now, and would be sad without it. I have a table runner waiting to be cut, but here I am reading blogs instead of it. Silly me!
ReplyDeleteWow! You are prolific. Great projects!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Sunni, you are very prolific! I need to take your example to heart. LOL!
ReplyDeleteWhen I started quilting seriously as an adult (I had helped my gramma as a girl and had sewn various things over the years) I had no clue about rotary cutters and cutting mats and stuff. I drew and cut everything by hand, with scissors, for about 8 months. Then I went and looked at the quilting tool section in Hancock's and it was like the heavens had opened up and I'd seen the light! At least you knew about rotary cutters and rulers and mats right off the bat! LOL!!
You've done lots of great quilts. Glad you are enjoying both the quilting and blogging. Looking forward to more!
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing!! Keep up the good work. One of my best friends while quilting is masking tape.
ReplyDeleteisn't it funny how good tools make such a world of difference? i've got my favorite rotary cutter, too, and can't imagine having to use anything else.
