HMQS Round Up

Last week was HMQS, This post is just to show off a handful of the quilts no specific quilts that I loved or hated just a few that I took pictures of.  Though I am interested to see which quilt you like the best in this group.  If you want to play along please respond with quilt number.

Tell me which of the above quilts you love and maybe if you have a "not so loved" in the list mention that too.  Note only one of the 10 is mine.  Oh and if you want to really guess tell me which 2 are my favorite in this group of 10.

  1. No. 2 is yours.
I really like the twisted bargello No. 6 and No. 10, besides your orange plus quilt.
I think your favourites, besides all orange are No. 3 and No. 10.

Now, tell me I guessed so wrong... :-)

  2. No 1 caught me eye right from the start. And I go with Barbara's theory on your favs - 3 & 10. Least fav would be #9/

  3. My fav is #7......least favourite is #6. (I also really like your plus quilt)
Your two favourites would be #1 & #10...my guess!

  4. I've always loved your Orange & Grey helix (I think that's what you called it). Orange is awesome.

Of this bunch, #3 really caught my eye. I saw something similar recently & pinned it for later. I love this one even more, I think. I love the rainbow effect.

#5 was a close second for me. I love the dynamic look of it.

#9 amused me. Although I'm not super impressed with the quilt itself, I am a huge fan of The Doctor and have to give props to whoever paid homage in the form of a quilt. I'm guessing that was in the Junior division, just based on the theme and the work.

Fun wrap up. I didn't make it this year and I'm kicking myself for it now. Work is just to hairy and trying to balance that and family time is tricky. I didn't want to take away from family time. Next year . . . and hopefully I'll have a quilt or two to enter (that Sesame Street quilt needs finishing).

  7. I like number 2 the best, good colours and looks like a DNA helix. I would say you like 2 and 10, but that's really just a random guess!

  8. Your number 2 quilt is a fun quilt Richard- my favorites are 6 and 10. I love bargello styled quilts and this one is very funky.
I am generally a more traditional style quilter- bargello not withstanding.
Have a great day- I like Craftsy too- I have a couple of patterns from them and have viewed a couple of their courses.
    Regards,
    Anna

  9. Not sucking up, but yours really is my fave... then probably 3, 4 and 1 in that order... and then other than the Doctor Who one I don't really like the rest of them...

  10. My favorite of all of them is #4, which is Chawne's quilt, then 10. Don't dislike any of them but least favorite is #1-just don't like the colors.

  13. I know number 2 is yours, but I would have chosen it even if I didn't know that! My second choice would probably be number 6. Number 10 intrested me. It might be my second choice too. :)
