  22. Mostly, I get my fabric through my two LQS'. They are very different; one is selling fabric in bright colors, the other one in more subtle, dusty colors. The good thing is that there is a 10 minute walk between them downtown, so you get the exercise as an additional benefit.
But, I have to admit that I buy some fabric at Hancock's and JoAnn's when i am in the US, also.

  58. I purchase much of my fabric from my local quilt store, The Quilting Bee, in Charlotte, NC. In Gastonia adjacent to Charlotte is a huge fabric store that has a huge quilting section. Prices are competitive. Quilters going to Mary Jos often come on buses. Not many sales but prices are great. 104. I find the best deals on fabric at Fabric Depot in Portland. I have to wait for their sales, but they have them pretty regularly. Fabric Depot is a huge local shop--it looks like a big box store but it is locally owned so I feel okay supporting them. Still, if I am buying small amounts of fabric I go to our local, small town quilt shops first. If I'm buying a large amount of yardage, I head to Fabric Depot. And if I want something special and can't make the drive to Portland, I shop online.
