ReplyDeleteMostly, I get my fabric through my two LQS'. They are very different; one is selling fabric in bright colors, the other one in more subtle, dusty colors. The good thing is that there is a 10 minute walk between them downtown, so you get the exercise as an additional benefit.
ReplyDeleteBut, I have to admit that I buy some fabric at Hancock's and JoAnn's when i am in the US, also.
I follow you on Craftsy.
ReplyDeleteBest deals from me friend Cindy at sewitis.com. Cindy has the best prices on fabric off the bolt. Even new releases are under $9.00 a yard! Thanks for the giveaway!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the Fat Quarter Shop - they are the best!
ReplyDeleteI purchase much of my fabric from my local quilt store, The Quilting Bee, in Charlotte, NC. In Gastonia adjacent to Charlotte is a huge fabric store that has a huge quilting section. Prices are competitive. Quilters going to Mary Jos often come on buses. Not many sales but prices are great. Use my coupons at JoAnn Fabrics for Kona Cotton and denise Schimdt fabrics both online and in-store. Thousands of Bolts in a great site for purchasing fabric at discount. They carry namebrand but not necessarily the newest on market.
ReplyDeleteI already follow you on facebook.
ReplyDeleteI visit your Etsy Shop often. Favorited The Bright Rainbow Quilt.
ReplyDeleteI now follow your shop on Craftsy.
ReplyDeleteI usually find the best deals on fabric at the LQS when they are having a sale. These days I am on a tight budget so the best deals come from my stash!
ReplyDeleteBeing Canadian, it is harder to get deals online, because the shipping cancels out the savings. I have been trying to shop at my LQS lately. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI watch on line shops like Intrepid Threads for their sales. When I not fixated on a particular line I take my coupon and go to JoAnns, especially for big pieces like backs. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteonline
ReplyDeleteDepends. I find good destashing sales on Etsy, but often it is hard to see what you get until it's arrived. The colors in the picture is not always accurate. My LQS has a perpetual end of bolt sale that is nice. 10% off, 20% if you finish the bolt and 10% if you pay with cash.
ReplyDeleteI find the best deals online but I try to support my LQS too!

Shopping online is where I find the best deals and I use Fabricshack.com alot
ReplyDeleteI find the best deals on fabric at Fabric Depot in Portland. I have to wait for their sales, but they have them pretty regularly. Fabric Depot is a huge local shop--it looks like a big box store but it is locally owned so I feel okay supporting them. Still, if I am buying small amounts of fabric I go to our local, small town quilt shops first. If I'm buying a large amount of yardage, I head to Fabric Depot. And if I want something special and can't make the drive to Portland, I shop online.
ReplyDeleteOn Etsy, I favorited your Beginner Color Blast quilt pattern.
ReplyDeleteI am now following you on Craftsy.

Nice fabrics! I`m always searching for deals because fabric is expensive here. Hancock`s of Paducah and Connecting Threads have the cheapest postage to Canada. It is too expensive to be worth it at most other on-line stores.
