I'm supposed to maintain it? Actually, with this machine I brush out the bobbin area every time I change the bobbin. I've been told every other time works, but I'd forget. I also take it to the shop for service once a year, when I'm going to be out of town, after all I don't want to be without my machine. I trust them to oil it and such. This machine is important to me, so I try to take care of it.
