This picture was taken a few days ago and it was cute at the time. Poor Julia now has a cold and maybe she was not enjoying this car wash as much as we enjoyed taking her picture, but I could not help sharing it.
I am not sure if any one could guess what color quilt I am going to make next but I figured I had to give a hint. My plan is to make a pink and gray version of my twenty five block quilt that I last did in orange and gray (still trying to figure out what to call that type quilt if any one has a suggestion please share it). I still have lots of left over gray thanks to Tanya nixing the idea of the orange and gray quilt for her bed. The other day in the LQS we bought 3 grab bags with "Pink" in them as we had so little in the personal stash most of this came out of those bags. For quilts like I like to make, those grab bags are like gold.
Tanya while I was not looking, completed this above top. All I have to show for what I did this week was a pile of fabric, I think Tanya is out doing me what do you think? For those that do not notice what this quilt is its is my pattern Color Blast done in a Tanya Style. I myself think it looks amazing, though don't tell Tanya I still like my orange one better.
As a re-cap from last week, my son James graduated from West High School and he has officially made Tanya and I feel old. I can hardly believe he is only a little younger then Tanya and I were when we met. Oh does time fly.
Do like that quilt, think Tanya has lots of hidden talents ;) and congratulations on your sons graduation, it does make you feel a bit on the aged side, but your in fine company hahahahha
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your sons graduation. I had two that graduated in December.
ReplyDeleteI thought I could avoid that "old feeling" by not having kids. Ha...my nieces and nephews (and great nieces and nephews) manage to make me feel older. LOL
ReplyDeletePoor Julia. Hope she feels better soon. Tanya did a great job on the quilt! Congrats to James on his graduation. I think your gray and pink quilt will look awesome. Knowing how much you love orange, every time I see orange fabric, I think about your love for orange. LOL
ReplyDeleteLove that quilt top... sorry your little one is sick... I have one that just graduated too! But my oldest is 28 so I have had lots of experience with feeling older as they pass life milestones... turning 21 was harder for me! lol Kathi
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your son! Big step into the real world now!
ReplyDeleteI love Tanya's little quilt top, very cute.
Ah your daughter is a cute one and she looks so sweet in her car:) Hope she feels better soon.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to your son!!
Those pink fabrics look very enticing:)
