Free Class Day on Craftsy

I just discovered something cool and I wanted to share it with you.  I have recently started using Craftsy to share projects and sell patterns.  Well on Saturday, May 18th you can sign up for a free class up to a $39.99 value.

Now to decide what class I am going to take?  Any suggestions?

And if you happen to read this post after the free day is over here are 3 free classes I have taken that are always free.

1) Craftsy Block of the Month 2013 with Laura Nownes - As a new quilter I suggest this class as it will give you some great hints and suggestions on block construction throughout the whole year.
2) QuiltCon Lecture Series 2013 - I am a member of the Salt Lake Modern Quilt Guild and as such was sad that I was not able to go to QuiltCon.  So at my request (OK, well maybe it had nothing to do with me) they were kind enough to put together a lecture series so that I did not have to completely miss out on the experience.
3) Creative Quilt Backs with Elizabeth Hartman - This week is HMQS her in Salt Lake City, Utah (well Thursday - Saturday of this week) as a special treat the SLMQG was lucky enough to get Elizabeth Hartman to come talk to our guild tonight!  So I am so excited I get to meet her tonight and learn directly from her.  For the rest of you, you can enjoy this free class.

Bummer for me, and others who have paid for classes already since we don't get to take part in this. We do, however get 25% off which is great, IF you have money to spend. Sadly, I'm out in both cases; the free and buying a class at a discount. Poo.

Those of you who haven't taken a class, do it since it's free! They really are great. I've taken a number of classes, some the quick free ones listed above by Richard and others I've paid for as mentioned. It does take a little bit to get acquainted with the different areas on your class page such as the video and the downloading of your class materials etc. It's a lot of fun and seeing the videos while reading along on your pattern really helps for new techniques or those new to what the class is about.

I just wish those of us who have paid for classes also got that perk of a free class instead of the discount. I know they're trying to increase thier 'students' and awareness so I guess I can't be upset at that too. :) Ok .......well I can pout for a few minutes though, right? LOL

Thanks Richard for sharing with all of us.
