Diagonal Quilt and Pattern.

Today I would like to share my newest Diagonal Quilt.  I created this using my newest pattern. This is my 3rd Diagonal Quilt.  If you go to Crafty and put a comment on the pattern and come back here and leave a comment I will send you a copy of the pattern for free. Please make sure your email is available so that I can send you the pattern.  I have recently had 2 people comment but they are no-reply bloggers so I can not send the pattern.

My first Diagonal Quilt was made using a neat ombre material (yes I had to look up that name it even stumped me) Above is the back of my newest quilt.  At the time I made the back I had recently read a comment from one of my blog posts that talked about a log cabin block made similar to the style I used in my quilt (sewing into long rows my material and then re-cut it).  So the block in the back is just that.

For the pictures in this post I decided to take the quilts to the park.  I took the easy job of watching Julia play, while I stiffed Tanya with the picture taking.  She had a fun time first starting with taking pictures on the grass and then on a rock and then on a bench.  The above was done over a pull up bar.

Out of all the rock pictures I like this one of the back of my quilt the best.  I almost think I should make a pattern for the back of the quilt and sell it as the front of the quilt.  I put my square in the middle with diagonal lines going across above and below it.

Above is the first picture I made after the quilt was washed.  It is the only full up and down shot which I think is needed of any quilt, but it is not my favorite shot of the quilt.

I do think that I like this picture of the quilt on the grass.  It is not the best color wise but it is a fun picture of the quilt all the same.  If you visit my quilt pattern on Craftsy and put a comment on it (or on one of the quilts attached to it) I will email you a copy of the pattern for free.  Make sure to put a comment here so I get a email to reply too with the pattern.

Very nice - I left a comment on the quilt on craftsy. I like the diagonal stripes combined with ombre fabrics, nice combination.

Hi Richard and Tanya, I left a comment on Craftsy about the timeliness of this pattern.

Working with strips, as I do, I have a number already cut and this pattern will allow me to use them.

What a neat idea to have the strips on the diagonal as opposed to in straight rows! Love the quilt.

Left a comment on Craftsy.

If you already made 4 quilts using this pattern, it must go together really quickly.

I like this one, too. The back would be a good pattern. =) I left a comment on Craftsy, of course. This is such a useful pattern for all kinds of strips. I really liked the ombre one a lot, too.

I am thinking of trying this one just as it is and trying it using different sizes of stripes. Love it.

Left a comment on Craftsy and will restate it here, your combination of the front stripes and the pieced back for me is my kind of modern quilt.

This pattern looks perfect for using up my collection of strips from various projects. I hope it looks just as nice as a scrappy quilt. The backing has a very modern look...love it. I also put a comment on Craftsy.

I do like the simplicity of this pattern, as well as the color combo that you used. I would love to make this for a charity quilt...or maybe for one of my three 2-yr old grandchildren as they move into big boy/big girl beds.
