Pinwheel Quilt with Scrappy Border

I have been waiting to post these pictures for a couple weeks hoping that I would get the pattern finished.  But as luck would have it I am yet to finish it.

Months ago Tanya wanted to make some HST quilts.  We did Chevron, HST and these pinwheels.  There was 3 of each quilt in the works.  This is the first of the pinwheels to be finished.

For pictures Tanya took the quilt to the park.

Love this! Even more so now that I'm on a HST jag.

This may be one of my favorites you all have made. The colors and shapes against that background are great!

Very pretty quilt. I love the darker background color. I get tired of white backgrounds.

I like it a lot. I use darker fabrics and very little white. My favorites are the rich deeper jewel tones that show up in the fall and winter collections. Living in an area where it's cold year round we can wear darker colors and our house decors are that way too so the colors I would have used when I lived in the Tropics are not the colors I use now.
