Kids Art Work

Last week I finished this custom quilt.  It was a custom quilt sell from our Etsy Store.  This quilt is made from my Diagonal Quilt Pattern.  You can find the pattern both on Etsy and Craftsy where I sell the pattern for $4.00 as a PDF download.  Though I bet if you asked me really nice, I would probably send it to you for free.

Though sadly the point of today's post is not about my beautiful quilt, but about my wonderful 4 year old and her art work.  While I was in the middle of creating this quilt, Julia decided to do a little art work on the sewing table.  Sadly at the time my new quilt was on the table and she just smoothed it out and used it as a table cloth.  In the zeal of her art, her pen went out side the lines and off paper and all over my quilt top.  Needless to say we were not so proud of the art work.

Luckily for us my wife was able to work her magic and when we washed it the ink came out.  My wife tells me hair spay is what fixed it. To think I thought you just used that stuff to make your hair not blow away in a wind storm.

Rebecca, while I was quilting it thought that we needed a picture of me.  Like all great pictures we got a picture of my best side, yes my back side.

We did not get a lot of great pictures of this quilt,  This one as it lay on the table before binding the quilt, but after it was quilted was one of the best.

Oh and for those that wanted to see a picture of me, here is my head and toes, in the style of  Mr Wilson from Home Improvement showing just the tip of my head.

Ah, you and Mr. Wilson! I love the quilt, and I'm so glad the ink washed out. I presume Julia was severely reproved and then hugged quite a lot after. =) You look like you might have lost some weight? Thanks for sharing the photos of what you did most recently.

My niece colored our hall carpet, when she was little. Orange crayon on tan carpet. At least Tanya got the ink out. I'll have to remember that tip.
