Welcome to Richard and Tanya Quilts if you are new to our site let me quickly introduce us. We are new to quilting as about a year ago. When having our 4th child, I (Richard) wanted a quilt for my baby,but had no one in the family or friends to make me a quilt so I decided to make my own. I started quilting a year and a half ago and now I like sharing my joy of quilting with those that visit us.
Our main giveaway today is this hand picked FQ set that we bought this last weekend from our local quilt shop. It is a set of 8 fantastic black and white fabrics. To win this giveaway is simple. Comment below telling me what your favorite quilting style is. 1 Comment is all that is needed. The Giveaway ends May 10th (but don't forget to stop by on the 13th its my B-day and another giveaway) I will ship any where in the world.
Because, I think every one is a winner and I like to give things away I have a number of patterns listed on Craftsy. If you visit Craftsy and comment (nice comments please) on any of the patterns and then come back here and list the pattern in a comment I will send you that pattern for free "While Supplies Last" (can you even run out of PDF's?) 1) Craftsy Block of the Month 2013 with Laura Nownes - As a new quilter I suggest this class as it will give you some great hints and suggestions on block construction throughout the whole year.
2) QuiltCon Lecture Series 2013 - I am a member of the Salt Lake Modern Quilt Guild and as such was sad that I was not able to go to QuiltCon. So at my request (OK, well maybe it had nothing to do with me) they were kind enough to put together a lecture series so that I did not have to completely miss out on the experience.
3) Creative Quilt Backs with Elizabeth Hartman - This week is HMQS her in Salt Lake City, Utah (well Thursday - Saturday of this week) as a special treat the SLMQG was lucky enough to get Elizabeth Hartman to come talk to our guild tonight! So I am so excited I get to meet her tonight and learn directly from her. For the rest of you, you can enjoy this free class.

I am falling in love with modern quilting.
I'm leaning towards modern quilting. Piecing more than appliqué.
Specific and tailored and matching. I know...that's boring and hard to do but I am working to get out of the box!!! Your B&W bundle there is amazing! I'd add a bit or red or maybe purple!
My favourite quilting style is what ever suits the person I am making it for the best. I make traditional and modern quilts.
I love both straight-line quilting and a looping meander. I always want to try other styles, but don't...
I prefer more traditional quilts. But enjoy looking at modern quilts for the interesting colors and patterns.
I am learning to love applique!
I like applique and foundation paper piecing. Oh, and English paper piecing.

I haven't been quilting long enough to really say I have a favourite style, though I do like bright, clean colours when I choose fabrics.

I have been quilting only for a few months, and so far I have machine pieced and FMQed all my quilts so far. I have a few ideas for projects that I want to hand piece and hand quilt later on in the year.
By the way - I love your pattern for the orange and grey helix - I have a special place for the helix in my heart because I was fortunate enough to spend a summer at Cambridge, England and devoured a ton of sights and info on Watson and Crick!

humm... Im not sure what style of quilting I like. I do like making my own patterns and machine quilting with a walking foot for anything less than a twin.

Those are lovely fabrics! My sister is doing her room in black and white and could use a throw quilt. :) I'm definitely more into modern, but I do love and appreciate traditional quilts, especially hand pieced ones!
I am somewhere between modern and traditional and art quilt. Still trying to find my personal style so I try out a lot of different things.
I'm in the process of my first quilt which is a cathedral quilt, so I'm not sure I have a favorite style.
I like making scrappy quilts... I guess my favorite style might be called traditional with a twist.
My favorite style is piecing. I should do more applique though.
I guess my quilting style is modern? Maybe improvisational, but I play around with a lot of styles.

I like any quilt with symmetry. Tonal balance is also key, not fond of contrast and brights.
I like modern clean colours and lines. But i am practising my FMQ. It's not quite up to scratch to do a whole quilt yet but it is improving!

I love all quilting. I'm not really a true quilter yet, so that may change. I've only made table runners, a lap quilt and 2 wall small wall hangings. I hate hand sewing so I will do anything to avoid hand quilting, but I do love the look of hand quilting, I just don't want to do it.

I usually do straight line quilting, but I'm about to branch out and try some FMQ. I'm new to this, so wish me luck!
My favourite quilting style is straight line quilting a) because I can sew in a straight line, b) because I don't have to move the quilt too much under the machine and c)just by doing different spacing of the lines it looks like a lot of effort has gone into it!
I love the quilting part the best. I don't care if it's longarm or hand quilting, but I don't care for using a small machine to quilt. =) Thanks for a great giveaway chance!

I'm a machine piecer/use any sensible shortcut I can/kinda girl! I also machine quilt and bind - I hand quilted and bound my first baby quilt and swore never again!
What a lovely bundle! I like traditional block quilting.
I'm a scrappy quilter. I have done applique, trapunto, haven't tried paper piecing but I love the traditional patterns although not too complicated. Thanks.
there is so much that makes a quilt beautiful there are ugly modern quilts and ugly traditional quilts ... I like what I like - good worksmanship will usually helpy a lot.
I'd say I'm a free quilter, I do what I want with the fabrics I want. I like to break out of the mold. I try not to use traditional floral fabrics and they are 'so yesterday' and there are so many fun fabrics out there. i am so a clearance shelf shopper. I like to do interesting things with those fabrics that the other quilters wouldn't buy. Sort of the sows ear into a silk purse kind of thing.

Quilting pinwheels or squares and rectangles are my style. So, I looked at Craft and saw that you have the perfect pattern for me. Simple Squares.
