Giveaway is now Closed
Welcome to Richard and Tanya Quilts if you are new to our site let me quickly introduce us. We are new to quilting as about a year ago. When having our 4th child, I (Richard) wanted a quilt for my baby, but had no one in the family or friends to make me a quilt so I decided to make my own. I started quilting a year and a half ago and now I like sharing my joy of quilting with those that visit us.
Our main giveaway today is this hand picked FQ set that we bought this last weekend from our local quilt shop. It is a set of 8 fantastic black and white fabrics. To win this giveaway is simple. Comment below telling me what your favorite quilting style is. 1 Comment is all that is needed. The Giveaway ends May 10th (but don't forget to stop by on the 13th its my B-day and another giveaway) I will ship any where in the world.
Because, I think every one is a winner and I like to give things away I have a number of patterns listed on Craftsy. If you visit Craftsy and comment (nice comments please) on any of the patterns and then come back here and list the pattern in a comment I will send you that pattern for free "While Supplies Last" (can you even run out of PDF's?) So yes every one is a winner! (This second comment is a extra entry too)
I don't want any one too feel left out, if you don't want a free pattern of mine off Craftsy you are welcome to a Free class of your choice below on Craftsy (Yeah, Yeah they are free classes already, but your still a winner in my book!)
1) Craftsy Block of the Month 2013 with Laura Nownes - As a new quilter I suggest this class as it will give you some great hints and suggestions on block construction throughout the whole year.
2) QuiltCon Lecture Series 2013 - I am a member of the Salt Lake Modern Quilt Guild and as such was sad that I was not able to go to QuiltCon. So at my request (OK, well maybe it had nothing to do with me) they were kind enough to put together a lecture series so that I did not have to completely miss out on the experience.
3) Creative Quilt Backs with Elizabeth Hartman - This week is HMQS her in Salt Lake City, Utah (well Thursday - Saturday of this week) as a special treat the SLMQG was lucky enough to get Elizabeth Hartman to come talk to our guild tonight! So I am so excited I get to meet her tonight and learn directly from her. For the rest of you, you can enjoy this free class.
Thank you for visiting Richard and Tanya quilts today, please feel free to follow us though any of the options you can find on the menu to the right and please stop by Sew Mama Sew to find the many other giveaway that are open today. For those that will be attending HMQS, keep a look out as I will have 2 quilts hanging check them out and let me know what you think. If you can't make HMQS check back later this week and I will take pictures and share.
P.S. We will ship internationally.

«Oldest ‹Older 401 – 441 of 441I like all kinds of quilts (other than applique)as long as they can be done on a machine. I am not a hand quilter by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, quilts are piling up because I won't finish the binding.
I posted a comment on Orange and Grey Helix Pattern Quilt on Craftsy (what I call Cracksy -- I will never finish all the classes I've bought). I really like the way it looks.
I love pinwheels.

I like paper piecing.
the plus plus is cute
Im trying to get my FMQ improved
I love scrappiness and simple patchwork.
Traditional colors and patterns are my go-to's for now, and I love to hand quilt. I have also been playing with EQ and am in the process of making a quilt with something I designed on there. It is a modern twist on flying geese.
I love straight line quilting...keeping it simple. I also anything with Pinwheels or Flying Geese...or Log Cabins...so many to love!
I haven't found a form of quilting I didn't like.
I really love to do freehand quilting and often quilt in words and phrases. Not everyone sees it but it was fun to see people counting the words when my quilt was hanging at IQS.
I like to machine quilt and do lots of piecing.
I like straight line echo quilting. I also love concentric circles quilting.
I really like modern quilts. Thanks for the chance to win the beautiful B/W fabrics.
Pretty new to it all, but I lean modern. I find order and simplicity soothing. I like bright and intense colors at some times, and light low-volume colors at others. Too much of any of it is distracting and overwhelming to the senses. Mostly machine quilting, as my hands are not as tolerant as they once were.
I love doing quilts with vintage sheets!
I do traditional quilts with modern fabric and quilting. LOVE the black and whites - they'd be perfect for an idea I've got in my brain right now.
A favorite quilting style, I don't really know, um.. I can only do straight quilting, not very helpful, sorry.
I commented on your Orange and Gray Helix, awesome quilt pattern, thanks.

I love scrappy quilts but I like almost everything about quilting! Thanks for the giveaway
I commented on your plus plus quilt pattern
I like modern and white, that's my aesthetic.
Machine quilting, usually straight line. But I love the look of free motion and I keep practicing :)
I love modern quilts-the clean lines
I like FMQ! Thanks, great fabric!
My favourite quilting style is colourful and scrappy, but lately I've been admiring the more restrained modern quilt look.
I just commented on your orange-and-gray helix pattern - it's lovely.
I like a modern style.
I guess I lean toward traditional quilting but there are many modern quilts that I like too.
I am a traditionl lover, comes from watching my mom, grandmother and aunts make those quilts so many years ago
I love to piece and make quilts but don't have the time to hand quilt one so I usually send them to a long arm quilter. I like to do applique on quilts now too!

Thanks for the giveaway. I'm collecting black and whites with a pattern in mind, so these would be very helpful.
Lately I've been doing most of my quilting by hand because I don't trust my machine quilting skills. I use chunky thread that compliments the quilt top.
Oh, quilting by hand!
My grandmother, who was born in 1893 taught me how; we even quilted a quilt made with fabrics when she was young for my wedding gift! I treasure it today, a grandmother's flower garden.
Thanks for the great giveaway!
I'd described myself as a contemporary traditional quilter. I choose modern fabrics but traditional blocks.
I love all parts of making quilts, usually traditional. I haven't yet made an art quilt or a quilt termed modern, yet would like to. I don't know how to machine quilt on my sewing machine, and want to learn both straight line and fmq. There is so much more to explore and try! mlwright29(at)hotmail(dot)com To learn, need books and fabrics and notions and tools... thus giveaways
I like both traditional & a bit of modern. So I`m right in the middle I guess. I like to machine piece, machine quilt and sew on the binding by machine. Thanks for a chance to win that fabulous bundle of black & white fabric! :)
I commented on the Orange and Gray Helix pattern on Craftsy! Love it! :)
I love FMQ and hexagons
I commented on Plus Plus (cnuland)
I'm a beginner so patchwork is what I do a lot of and zig zag patterns with HSTs. ppoe529@comcast.net
