It is my B-Day and you get the presents!

Oh that time of year has come again, no not tax time.  Its my B-day.  I am getting old (though some of you may argue with me about that).  Today I turn 44.  My baby Julia makes me feel young as she is only 1 year old.  But then again, I remember 17 years ago feeling young when James was only 1 year old.  So young I am not any more.  But my loss of time is your reward.  I am giving away today to celebrate my B-Day.

Last year I went to HMQS just before my B-day and I picked up a bundle of Batiks and gave them away.  This year again I went to HMQS just before my B-Day and I picked up more Batiks. (No sadly I am not giving them away this year) Oh ya and I did get the above 4 fat quarters for my B-day Giveaway.  Tanya also threw in this hand crafted bowl that her sister Tosha made, (below is same thing, but the other side)

I want to keep this simple as the giveaway last week I personally responded to every email and after 444 of them it almost killed me.  This year I simply want you to share a B-Day wish with me.  I will ship any where in the world and the giveaway is only open for 3 days, as I do not want to draw this out too much.

Last year the Batiks I got from HMQS for my B-Day I made the above quilt (OK the dark and light grays I bought some where else, but all the little pieces in the middle)

I also made the above quilt after buying a bundle of the blue and yellow batiks.  Oh such a sweet quilt.  This quilt also was hung up in a local quilt shop for over a month (it is now down and for sell at that shop and on Etsy).  Now if you win what will you make with your prize?

Just in case you think I got nothing for myself I got 4 bundles of Batiks in 4 color groups 20 total fat quarters total and the below pattern.  If you know me at all, I love lizards and I could not resist this cute pattern I found.

P.S. Tanya has a birthday this month too, so make sure to come back in two weeks for another small giveaway.

Happy Birthday!

I wish that I had a house big enough that I could dedicate a whole room to sewing/craft. Not a portion of my desk or dining room table and having to unpack my sewing machine every time! :|

Wishing you a wonderful birthday and a great year!!! Age is an attitude more than a number. Besides, old is 20 years older than you are at any given time. -- soparkaveataoldotcom

I hope you get to make your lizard quilt, and that this colorful little guy guards your gorgeous stash well!
If I win, I plan on adding this to the small stack I'm gathering for another yellow/black/gray quilt. Love the colors together!

Happy Birthday Richard- You are a great age but you are right about how quickly time passes..
I think the fabrics you chose are very fun- they would make a great bag or summertime placemats or table runner.
I love the batik fabrics too- they add so much texture to a quilt.
Tanya's sister's bowl is lovely- lots of talent in your family. Thanks for your generosity. With best wishes,
Anna

Happy birthday Richard! Don't like real lizards but cloth are ok and yours is very cute.
I would probably use the fabric in a quilt. I have some ideas that I want to try and the colors would work very well. thank you for the give-a-way

Well, I also turned 44 on the 13th of May, but on the other side of the world, in Hungary (and my smallest is 3 years old). Also thinking about buying batiks. Maybe next month, as belated gift for me. Happy birthday to both of us.
And it would be a gym-bag for my oldest son (9 years), who is pestering me for one for weeks.

Happy Birthday! It is always fun to celebrate, regardless of your age. I think these prints would make some great cosmetic bags for Christmas gifts. I am starting now....maybe I will have all the handmade gifts done before December?? Thanks for sharing!

May your days be many and your troubles be few. Happy birthday. Thanks for sharing the lovely gifts with us. The yellow and black bundle will go great with my next quilt which will be yellow, black, gray and white!

Oh no! I totally missed the big day. I even had a reminder set so I would come back on the 13th too. It popped up on Monday so I snoozed it for two days thinking then it would be where I could adjust it to come up first thing in the morning on your birthday. It never came back again so obviously I am an idiot and killed the reminder instead of snoozing it. DUH.

I hope you had a wonderful birthday.

Hope you had a great birthday. I know I'm late posting but I had family concerns to attend to. Thanks so much for showing me where to get the Helix pattern. I probably won't get to it very soon, but I love the quilt. Again, Happy Birthday to you and your wife!
