No Reply Bloggers! Are you one?

Back on March 27th I posted this quilt with the offer to get the pattern for the quilt for free if you go and post on Craftsy. (I still offer the free pattern by way)

Now today's post is not about that quilt or even the offer but the amazing response I had too it.  I had I think 8 people in a row all go make nice comments on Craftsy and then left me a message on the post asking for their free pattern.  Great I hit reply and to my utter amazement almost every single person that took the time to post a comment was a no reply blogger.

The thing that amazes me is how many people that comment are no reply bloggers and may not realize that you are one.  I will not try to explain how to fix it (as many posts in the past have explained how to do such) But I want to plead with all of my followers to fix this. For the 8 or so people that already commented and have not gotten there pattern, it was not that I did not want to give it too you, it is that I can't figure out how to contact you.  If you are not sure if you are a no reply blogger please put a comment here and I will reply and tell you that you are not.  Of course if you don't hear from me you are.

Oh and if you are a no reply blogger and still would like responses to your comments (and you don't want to lose your no reply status, is there a reason to want this?) Please put your email into the comment you can do something like rhealey101(at)gmail(dot)com if you are worried about them web spiders from tracking down your email.

There are several reasons for "no reply" bloggers. One is choice or an unknown default. That later is what you have addressed. Another is that Blogger and Wordpress do not talk to each other. It is my understanding that if you click on our names you can email us. If that does not work you can visit our blogs and many of us have our info on our About page. Or you can comment on our blogs.

The so called solution offered in the various posts you refer to urge non Blogger blogs to create a blogger blog so that we can be contacted; that however, defeats the purpose of creating blog to blog conversations. Why would I want to lead someone to a fake blog?

So sorry I've not had time to really work with my blog. I've been doing a redo on an 1920's heirloom. I'm worry and baby'ing along that its taken up 3 months of my time. After I got over the shock of of even having such an old quilt to work with, that was 2 weeks of walking on cloud 9. LOL Before I could even let myself touch it.
I will try to stay in touch with you and others, as soon as I can. I'm wanting to learn and get my own business off the ground. Its a brick and mortar store. You do wonderful work. I admire all the time I've seen you take in the past with your blog.
I'll be back :)

I didn't get the pattern, but, I know that people can reply to me, since they do it all the time.
