Minion Pillow in Yellow and Blue

Tanya has made another of her wonderful pillows for today's post.  This is one of my favorite so far.  I am a fan of the minions and this is her 3rd.

These pillows she has created with a mixture of cotton and minkey with the Minion put on using embroidery by Tanya.  They are such cute and fun.  These pillows are all done with a rag quilt style.

We have never done a zipper so these pillows were made with a pillow that can be washed.  It is so fun to see the smiles these pillows cause on the little kids faces.

Twister Table Runner

Today I want to show off our newest table runner.  It is funny how different they look from one picture too the next.  I have been messing more in photoshop trying to make colors look correct as some of them blend out more then others.

This twister quilt is made out of fabrics from the Carolyn Friedlander called Architextures  I love this fabric line.  I have made a few items out of it and absolutely love them.  I have been looking at her new line Botanics and will buy it when I can convince Tanya into it.

I do have a question for you today.  Have you ever made a twister quilt and if so which type of twister ruler do you use.  The ruler I have is just the shape of the blade and I like it a lot but I know others use the twister ruler and like it.  Which is your preferred method of Twisting.

Zoo Animals Simple Square Quilt

Tanya and I last year created a pattern we call baby bricks.  It is one of our Go-To Quilts.  I really enjoy this quilt as it is just a random group of fabrics and is simple and easy to do while watching TV.

When Tanya first gave me the Fat Quarters I really did not like them and did not think they would go together well.  By the time I was done cutting them out I was slowly falling in love.  But after sewing them together I was in love and this is one of my favorite baby bricks quilts to date.

Tanya and I are still undecided on how to best take pictures.  Tanya took more then a dozen pictures of this quilt I have added here the 4 that I like the most.  One thing I need to do is figure out how to take full shots of both the fount and back and make them look cool.  This quilt I liked the strip down the back that you can see in the first picture which is why I liked it the most.

Hot Pads from left over scraps

Here is another set of hot pads made from scrap fabrics.  These fabrics were used months ago and  have been sitting around waiting to be bound for months and it is just about time we finally have the hot pads done.

I love using the left over scraps up as hot pads.  Its a great way to get them out of the stash and who can't use 100 pair of hot pads.
