HST #1 Quilt

Last year Tanya and I wanted to make 3 new patterns for our Craftsy Pattern Store.  We decided that we were going to make 3 HST quilts out of 3 different fabric lines. (You know me I just can;t do things the simple easy way).  3 of the quilts were made using the Reunion fabric line which is one of my favorites.  This is the 2nd of the 3 patterns and funny thing the one I hate (OK ,that is kind of harsh, maybe boring is a better word for it) any way Tanya really likes this kind of quilt so here it is.

Unlike some of the other quilts where I held out for something more exciting on the back Tanya got what she wanted and that was a boring back.  Ha-ha I am sure when Tanya reads my post about her quilt she is going to smack me.  The fun thing I always love about quilting is it takes all styles of quilts and all styles of tastes to make the world go round.

Any way expect to see this soon in our pattern store.

Knee Update and New Craftsy Pattern

For any one that missed it last Thursday I had Knee Surgery.  I am happy to say that all is well with my knee.  Sunday morning I was able to unwrap and clean my leg and look at the Dr's handy work.  I took a picture but Tanya is a spoil sport and wont let me show it.  It looks like I got 3 small incisions on my knee.  One was on the top sorta in the middle and the other 2 down near the bottom one on left and one on right side of knee.

While since Tanya wont let me put a picture of my knee now I grabbed a picture off of my MRI (not that I have a clue how to look at this picture).  Any way to celebrate my knee surgery I am giving away my Helix Quilt pattern (I thought a little DNA would do me good).

For those that might have missed this pattern in the past I made this quilt last year.  It is one of my favorite quilt patterns as it was created in one of those attempts of mine to be modern.  And of course to annoy Tanya using up more of my orange material which she hates.

Below is a pattern more Tanya Style.  In fact it is her idea and her pick for colors.

Not for free, but now for sell on Craftsy is my Chevron Baby Quilt pattern.  We made 3 versions of this quilt this one out of Reunion is my favorite.

Any way I am thankful that my knee surgery is over and done and that all I have to do is rest up for the rest of the week.  Thank you for all those that thought of me and prayed for me and my family.

Chevron Quilt # 3

Late last year Tanya and I wanted to create some new patterns for our Craftsy Store.  We decided that we wanted to make 3 different Half Square Triangle quilts. Any way long story short this is one of the 9 quilts we are making (so we have good pictures for the pattern) we plan to have 3 patterns and will be making 3 different quilts of each pattern.

This quilt is out of one of my favorite lines Reunion.  Tanya and I are working our way though our 2nd Fat Quarter Bundle.  And lucky for me we have enough material for a couple more quilts.

Tanya is still getting aggravated at me about wanting to add my modern twist to the back of all of our quilts.  Each of the quilts I am making a strip that goes at a angle across the back.  Tanya loves the way it looks but because she bastes all of the quilts she gets frustrated trying to get it basted correctly with the off at a angle back.

All in all the quilt turned out fantastic and cant wait to get the finishing touches on our quilt pattern and get it listed in our pattern store.
